Over 1,300 BTO flats for June, with wait time about 3 years
By the end of June, 1,352 Build to Order (BTO) or BTO flats will be available in Woodlands and Tampines. The waiting period is around three years.
A 791-unit development in Woodlands, Marsiling Peak I is awaiting a wait time of two years and 11 months, the shortest time in the coming sales exercise.
The first batch of apartments that have a shorter waiting time will be available in 2024, which is less than three-years.
The Tampines GreenTopaz project, situated near the Tampines West MRT Station, will provide 561 flats. However, there is an additional waiting time of three years, and one month.
In 2024, more than 2800 apartments with shorter waiting periods will be available. This includes more than 22,000 units sold during the sales exercise that was held in October.
It was committing in 2023 to open up to 3,000 flats and shorter waiting times every year through 2025.
HDB, working closely with our construction partners as well as other government agencies, is now in a position to complete this project a year earlier than scheduled, in 2024.
The company will continue to re-calibrate its building programme over time so that flats with shorter waiting times, like those with a waiting time of four years or less make up more of the new construction.
Along Admiralty Road, Marsiling Lane will be developed Marsiling Peak I. This complex will comprise two-room flexi flats as well as three-, four and five-room apartments. The three blocks range in height between 31 and 35 stories.
Woodlands North and Woodlands Checkpoint MRT Stations are just 2km from the area.
The flats of the complex provide views of the Strait of Johor and nearby parks, and also the central courtyard of the structure.
The company also said that the blocks would be crafted with shades of brown and accents that are influenced by Woodlands which is a town that was named after its heavily forested appearance when viewed in Johor.
A market and food center are located in the neighborhood center. Other amenities nearby are Causeway Point Shopping Complex, Woodlands Civic Centre, and Admiralty Park.
The 791-unit development is one of 1,590 flats to be inaugurated in Woodlands in June, which will also include three-generation homes.
Tampines GreenTopaz is a four-block development of 12 – to 13-storeys. It will have 561 flats that are two-room flexi, and four- or five-room configurations. One block will contain 24 apartments for rent.
The project will feature food outlets, a supermarket as well as a preschool and shopping. It is located near Tampines Park Connector, which connects to Bedok Reservoir Park.
Over 6,800 apartments will be launched during the sales exercise in June, with the other projects in Jurong East, Kallang/Whampoa, Queenstown and Yishun. HDB has not announced the date of launch.
A 1,270-unit development located in Yishun will be the first BTO launch in Chencharu, an up-and-coming housing area.
More than 19,600 BTO apartments will be sold in total through three sales campaigns before 2024.
The final sales launch of 2024 will take place in October. This is when the new categorizing of flats into Prime, Plus or Standard categories will take effect.
BTO units situated in more desirable areas will be classified into the Prime or Plus categories. These are subject to stricter conditions for resale, like a minimum occupancy time of 10 years (MOP) and a subsidy clawback.
Standard flats, which are expected to comprise the bulk of public housing supply, will come with a five-year MOP and have no major limitations on the number of buyers who are resales.
